A new and improved financial management system with additional reporting using Power BI
In 2021, European food wholesaler Kebia Importex Pty Ltd (Kebia) engaged the Empired team to assist with the upgrade of several core finance and supply chain modules to support the business.
Kebia needed an end-to-end finance solution that could be mastered by all staff members. Empired was brought on board to help Kebia get up and running quickly with the new finance system, keep in contact with existing group functions, and fulfill its supply goals.
The team at Empired implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365 F&O), letting Kebia revamp its order to cash, procure to pay, inventory, and financial management functions. Kebia was also set up as a new legal entity within the existing D365 F&O instance. Empired implemented all business processes and functions leveraging standard, out of the box capability in D365 F&O. Empired built additional financial management and board pack reports to support the group reporting requirements as well as Kebia’s actual versus budget reporting.
The result was two successful rounds of data migration and a new and improved management system that has been embraced quickly by staff. Kebia has also tailored additional BI and D365 reports to manage the business effectively with the information that is now available.
