Winning the battle for talent

In this ever-changing digital world, one of the most significant challenges businesses face is the battle to identify, recruit and retain talent. Its core HR capabilities come from Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Enterprise Edition (formerly AX). Supporting this the Talent app is designed to attract, empower and optimise learning and development for employees, delivering the hiring manager and employee with critical processes and information throughout the employee life cycle. Power BI brings this all together with advanced analytics around employee progress, performance and engagement while LinkedIn and Office 365 sit in the background making everything easier and faster.

What benefits does Dynamics 365 for Talent deliver?

The fundamental change relates to the interaction between managers, prospective employees and current employees through the Talent app:

  • Outbound talent sourcing – using LinkedIn Recruiter, the Talent app provides a workbench to collaborate with a manager, assess and release candidates into the hiring process.
  • Efficient transparent recruitment – managers choose when to release a candidate into the formal interview process, then builds out their interview panel, and tight integration with Office 365 automatically allocates interviews with this team. As interviews progress members get immediate online feedback and recommendations to hire.
  • Onboarding – Talent allows this process to start well before an employee has a login to an organisation’s network, providing them with an ability to hit the ground running and visibility to ensure key onboarding tasks are completed.
  • Feeling at home from day one – through integration with LinkedIn and one-click collaboration, new employees will have the ability to connect with their new team as well as reconnect with a list of people they have studied or worked with in the past.

What a start! Then we move on to the all-important career development conversations and learning plans that underpin great retention. When people can see and understand where their career can take them in a business they are more likely to be invested and stick around.
