New Microsoft Security and Compliance offerings

Security and compliance within organisations are getting more and more attention based on the increase of cyberattacks. Coupled with this, data privacy regulations such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is also something that cannot be under estimated.

Microsoft 365 (M365) is the flagship offering that includes the bundling of Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS). M365 for Enterprises includes E3, E5 and F1 plans, which are better explained here.

Until now, advanced security and compliance capabilities have only been available to E5 customers, but Microsoft is changing all of this through the introduction of two new offerings for their E3 customers that aims to address the above-mentioned requirements:

Microsoft Security & Compliance

* Pricing for Microsoft 365 E3 customers before volume discounts

These two new offerings make it easier for E3 licensed customers to acquire the same level of protection and compliance as E5 customers, but without the additional business analytics, enterprise grade phone & audio-conferencing systems.

In other news, Microsoft also announced that MyAnalytics (its "fitness tracker for work") will now be available to all Office 365 or Microsoft 365 Enterprise and Business customers. Previously, MyAnalytics was only available to E5 customers. For more information, see article here. MyAnalytics is designed to provide employees insights into how they spend their time with the intention of optimising productivity and efficiency.
