Senior Solutions Architect


A key player in our architecture team, this role engages with our clients to define and enable their strategic business imperatives.

As a Senior Solution Architect within our Architecture Team you are responsible for engaging with our clients to define and enable complex projects as part of a larger technology transformation programme.

Your key focus will be to:

  • Engage with clients and our partners to define and develop solutions to realise strategic benefits for our clients.
  • Provide thought leadership on technology strategy.
  • Provide project oversight and governance across complex multi-practice solutions.
  • Provide technical thought-leadership and presales expertise to support sales teams to position complex solutions that drive business value.
  • Understand our clients’ business drivers, goals and desired outcomes from technology solutions.
  • Utilise deep expertise in a range of product specialisations and be responsible for architecting high quality, complex cross-product solutions.
  • Work across our business to provide advice and guidance to Empired’s delivery practices.

You will be someone with leadership qualities who proactively seeks effective approaches to tasks and problems and sets a high professional standard for themselves and others. You will have excellent communication skills
We are looking for experience with the following:

  • Relevant tertiary level diploma or degree such as: software engineering, computer science, mathematics, or engineering; or relevant industry experience.
  • Relevant technology certifications.
  • TOGAF or other EA framework certifications.
  • 5-10+ years’ experience in a similar role including experience leading projects and designing solutions that leverage the technologies provided by Empired.
  • Defined and delivered transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management across multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience with user centred design and customer experience projects and approaches.
  • Demonstrated experience working within complex sales and delivery engagements.
  • Proven ability to present and persuade to a senior level audiences and to fellow architects.
  • Technical and Business Architecture Modelling tools e.g. Archimate, SparxEA, Visio.
  • Exposure to high level strategic engagement tools such as Value Chains, Business Model Canvas, Lean. Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas and Investment Logic Mapping.
  • Methodologies/techniques such as Waterfall, Iterative and SCRUM.
