Pre-Sales Architect (Azure)


Key role in our Modern Workplace practice in Melbourne.

Working in our Modern Workplace team in Melbourne in the pivotal role of Pre-Sales Architect, you will provide objective advice, expertise and specialist skills in Azure. You will show deep expertise in Azure technology and business trends and be responsible for working with our customers and Microsoft in the defining the vision and high-level Azure architecture for customers. You will articulate the value of Azure and assist customers with their cloud roadmap to Azure and be responsible for Azure pre-sales in the region.
You will maintain deep and expert knowledge of Azure to enable you to propose the most appropriate solutions to Empired’s clients. You will also work across the business to provide advice, guidance and commercial understanding to Empired's delivery practices.

You will also: 

  • Deliver pre-sales presentations and demonstrations
  • Proactively engage with Microsoft and customers to evangelise Azure drive sales
  • Respond to tenders and proposals for Azure services
  • Work with clients to analyse and define and document business requirements and/or project scope
  • Facilitate analysis and architecture design workshops to handover to delivery teams to implement
  • Provide pre-sales support and customer relationship management as required
  • Building strong relationships with customers and fielding any escalations from your team
  • Coach, motivate and engage with team members to drive successful delivery of innovative projects
  • Encourage employee engagement by continuing to develop and mentor technical specialists
  • Advocate collaboration and knowledge sharing plus fostering innovation and change
  • Providing training and technical guidance

   What you need to be successful:

  • Extensive, demonstrated pre-sales and consulting experience in Microsoft Azure solutions 
  • Superior knowledge and industry expert in Azure and knowledge of any of the following is desirable: Security and Office 365
  • Strong skills and knowledge in Active Directory and Microsoft Cloud services in general
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Previous project and technical leadership experience  
  • Strong consulting capabilities, stakeholder management and customer focused approach
  • Experience in the pre-sales process, including gathering user requirements, solution design, customer presentations and workshops
