About the Role:

This is a key leadership position to drive Empired’s Application Managed Services practice. The role will be broad and varied with responsibilities including Practice Management, Cost Budget ownership and operational management of 20+ people in a national team.  The key focus of this role will be to lead the practice in an effective, process-driven and scalable way through the application of continuous service improvement.
Empired is looking for an experienced Manager with strong customer relationship management and communication skills who will establish, build and manage high quality relationships across all Empired business areas and with our external customers.
The successful candidate will be able to execute strong business judgement, be passionate about delivering value to clients, lead and inspire a team of quality professionals as well as drive the financial and operational management of the practice. You will be passionate about working as a business partner with our customers and enjoy juggling priorities.
Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5-10+ years of commercial experience in a mid to large size Professional Services environment leading an applications support (Microsoft & Custom Apps) or managed services team
  • Demonstrated constructive people management and team leadership skills
  • Strong operational management capabilities including financial management, scope & contract management and process management
  • Strong organisational skills and experience leading a national team
  • Demonstrated Practice Management skills including experience contributing to presales and transitions
  • Exceptional Customer relationship and Vendor management skills
  • Strong capacity management and resource planning skills
  • Strong presentation skills and experience supporting pre-sales activities
  • Advanced problem solving, analytical, communication and negotiation skills
