Empired secures IT Strategic Consulting Services Contract

Empired have secured a significant contract to provide IT strategic consulting services to Western Australian Police (WA Police) with an estimated value of $5 Million.

Western Australian Police is responsible for the largest single police jurisdiction in the world, an area covering 2.5 million square kilometres with a structure comprising three regions, 14 districts, 162 police stations and more than 9,000 employees.

The contract is a three year term with two one year options to extend. Contract pricing is based on an expected program of work and associated work effort. This provides WA Police the flexibility to increase and decrease services in line with their requirements.

Empired will provide collaborative and high quality independent services in the areas of strategic advice and planning, benefits realisation and project/program delivery assurance to assist WA Police in achieving their business requirements.

Empired Appoints New General Manager, Delivery Services

Empired has secured the appointment of John Bardwell as General Manager, Delivery Services effective 1 February 2010. John will head the overall delivery organisation consisting of Managed Services and Enterprise Services. Managed Services will continue to house all of our operational delivery groups.

John has had a long and successful career in the IT&T industry. He has been employed by a number of large corporate, government and multi-national organisations such as BankWest, Unisys and Western Power.

John is also a sought after consultant, having undertaken a wide range of consulting engagements in government and commercial sectors including finance, resources and utilities.

John will play an instrumental role in the development and growth of Empired over the coming years and is a well know figure in IT circles across Australia, the ability to secure an appointment of this calibre is a testament to Empired’s strengths.

Empired lands MMG contract

Empired had secured its second major contract this month, landing an IT outsourcing deal thought to be worth as much as $10 million with Chinese-owned Minerals and Metals Group. Empired will supply the zinc and copper miner with IT services across its Australian and South-East Asian operations over atleast three years.
