Appointment of new CEO

Russell Baskerville has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, taking over the company reigns from Gavin Burnett who has been acting in the position since the departure Justin Miller in March.

With in excess of 10 years business experience and exposure to the IT industry Russell brings a wealth of knowledge in both the strategic growth and development of Technology businesses and a strong understanding of the commercial benefits achieved through the application of technology within corporate enterprises.

Prior to Empired, Russell founded an Infrastructure Services business delivering network consultancy and support within Western Australian. Russell led this business through a successful acquisition in early 2001. In addition Russell also founded Procom Holdings Pty Ltd. The business was positioned to supply service and support to merchant banking facilities on behalf of the larger banks in Australia. The business enjoyed rapid growth in Western Australia and now supplies services most of the major banks including BankWest, National Australia bank, ANZ Bank and the Westpac Bank. Russell remains a non-executive director and shareholder of this business.
